To start the year, an illustration about the beginnings. Years ago I finished my illustration series about the Valar and Maiar, the family of "deities" from the Middle-Earth mythology created by Tolkien (You can find the series of Valaquenta illustrations at the right column of the blog, in 'Els Contes Perduts' and 'Tolkien' sections). Still, I missed the most important -and the only one- of them all: Eru the One, called Ilúvatar by the elves, is not only the supreme deity of the Tolkien's legendarium, but He IS also the same omnipotent God of our world. In the illustration, He is located in the Timeless Palace, surrounded by the choir of the Ainur, the Holy Ones, angelic spirits who helped Him shape Eä, The World That Is, with the Great Music of Creation, as telled in the Ainulindalë, the first part of 'The Silmarillion'.
Para empezar el año, una ilustración sobre los inicios. Ya hace años que terminé mi serie de ilustraciones sobre los Valar y los Maiar, la familia de "divinidades" de la mitología de la Tierra Media creada por Tolkien (Podéis encontrar la serie de ilustraciones del Valaquenta en la columna derecha del blog, en las secciones 'Els Contes Perduts' y 'Tolkien'). Aún así, me dejé al más importante -y único- de todos ellos: Eru el Único, llamado Ilúvatar por los elfos, no sólo es la deidad suprema del legendarium tolkeniano, sino que ES el mismo Dios omnipotente de nuestro mundo. En la ilustración se encuentra en los Palacios Intemporales, rodeado por el coro de los Ainur, los Sagrados, espíritus angélicos que le ayudaron a dar forma a Eä, el Mundo Que Es, con la Gran Música de la Creación, tal y como se cuenta en el Ainulindalë, la primera parte de 'El Silmarillion'.

Tot i així, em vaig deixar el més important -i únic- de tots ells: Eru l'Únic, anomenat Ilúvatar pels elfs, no només és la deïtat suprema del legendarium tolkenià, sinó que ÉS el mateix Déu omnipotent del nostre món. A la il·lustració es troba als Palaus Intemporals, envoltat pel cor dels Ainur, els Sagrats, esperits angèlics que l'ajudaren a donar forma a Eä, el Món Que És, amb la Gran Música de la Creació, tal com es conta a l'Ainulindalë, la primera part de 'El Silmaríl·lion'.
